文章选取2008-2017年沪深A股3449上市公司的23193个样本数据,实证检验了高管学术经历与企业分红水平的关系。研究发现,相比于高管无学术经历的企业,有学术经历高管企业的分红水平显著更高。高管的学术经历通过缓解融资约束,而不是缓解过度投资的路径显著提高企业分红水平。在进一步的研究中,通过引入外部治理与企业产权性质影响因素,发现外部治理较弱、非国有企业的情况下,高管的学术经历对企业分红水平的提高作用更加明显。采用倾向得分匹配法(PSM)、工具变量回归等检验结果依然稳健。研究丰富了高层梯队理论与企业分红相关性的文献,发现了中国情境下影响企业分红的新因素。 相似文献

We examine the effect of media coverage on firm-level investment efficiency. We find that media coverage reduces under-investment but increases over-investment. The negative effect of media coverage on under-investment is more pronounced in firms affected by greater information asymmetry and poorer corporate governance. The positive effect of media coverage on over-investment is driven by media-induced CEO overconfidence. Additional results show that both investment- and non-investment-related news coverage decrease under-investment, while non-investment-related news coverage is more influential in increasing over-investment. In general, higher news optimism is associated with less under-investment but more over-investment. Moreover, media coverage affects investment efficiency through its information dissemination rather than information creation function. Collectively, our results suggest that firms’ media visibility promotes more over-investment than under-investment. 相似文献

This paper examines the role of accounting in the strategy re‐creation of a university. Drawing on Donald MacKenzie's theoretical notion of performative engines, our field study of an Australian university reveals how accounting, through various calculative practices, fuelled change and steered people into strategic action, leading to the formation of a new strategic plan. We contribute to the existing accounting and higher education literature on university strategising by illustrating how accounting, when convincing and accepted by decision‐makers, can function as an engine for the transformation and financialisation of universities’ strategies. 相似文献

The digitalization of the newspaper industry represents a significant challenge for incumbent companies to engage new technologies. Many companies in the industry have had to seek new markets through digital technologies to survive. This paper explores how one of the largest Swedish newspapers, Aftonbladet, has strategically embraced new media and new markets. We report a decade of engaged scholarship based on interviews and archival analysis that covers 20 years of strategic acts at the company. We consider this effort as a case of organizational ambidexterity under digitalization. The analysis seeks to extend theoretical understanding of the interrelationships between strategic intent and technological choice. The paper contributes to the understanding of ambidexterity under digitalization by theoretically framing it in terms of strategic acts. The research suggests that digitalization implies a more complex ambidexterity interrelationship between old and new markets and technologies. As digitalization enables the loosening of previously tight couplings, the clear theoretical distinction between old and new, and critically, the unproblematic transition, is brought into question. The paper suggests replacing the notion of an orderly shift from the old to the new with ambidexterity under digitalization as a duality of both old and new undergoing continual reconfiguration. 相似文献

The creation of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB)was welcomed by the World Bank but opposed by the Obamaadministration. The paper explains China’s positive relationshipwith the Bank and the Organization for Economic Cooperation andDevelopment (OECD) in terms of the mission of the Bank, sharedby the OECD, to develop and deepen the global economy. The AIIBand the related Belt and Road initiative promise to do this throughinvestment in infrastructure and connectivity in and around thepoorly integrated Eurasian landmass. But while the current Chineseleadership has supported an inclusive global economy based uponfree trade and supported by multilateral institutions, China’s controlof resources outside the multilateral framework and adherence topractices that challenge liberal principles prompt suspicions thatthese commitments are either disingenuous or anyway subjectto reversal. 家族企业对社会情感财富目标的追求是其区别于非家族企业的重要特性,社会情感财富目标与企业经济利益间冲突对企业R&D投入的影响不容忽视。以社会情感财富为理论基础,基于573家上市家族企业2011-2015年的面板数据,分析受市场化程度影响时,家族涉入情境下信息透明度对企业R&D投入的影响。结果显示:信息透明度可以有效缓解信息不对称和代理冲突,促进企业R&D投入;家族控制对R&D投入有消极影响;当企业信息透明度较高时,会抑制家族所有者为个人谋取私利的动机,进而增强其对企业R&D投资的积极作用。在市场化程度更高、产权保护力度较大的地区,信息透明度会缓解家族控制权对R&D投入的消极作用。 相似文献

网络信息时代的组织话语能够以较低的成本迅速传播,是创业型企业在资源局限、时间紧迫情况下实现合法化的重要工具。本研究以创业期的淘宝网(2003-2014年)为研究对象,基于其代表性广告话语,尝试刻画、剖析组织合法性的话语构建过程。基于系统功能语法与系统图像语法的多模态话语分析显示,创业型企业在初创期主要运用发挥话语框架策略构建基本的实用合法性与道德合法性,在快速扩张阶段同时运用发挥与延伸策略进一步维护、增强这两种合法性,在稳定成长期则综合运用延伸、桥接与转变策略重点构建道德合法性与认知合法性。从企业成长阶段来看,话语框架策略与组织合法性之间呈现出协同演进关系。本研究通过跨学科理论与方法丰富了关于话语与组织合法性动态关系的研究,同时为创业型企业的合法性构建带来实践启示。 相似文献

转型期中国,地方国有企业作为地区经济发展的一股中坚力量,当其发生债务违约时,作为实际控制人的地方政府究竟是否愿意提供支持,会优先选择哪些企业提供支持,政府的支持行为是否会影响到信贷资源的配置效率呢?为得到验证,文章选取2007-2016年沪深A股地方国有上市企业作为研究样本,实证分析了地方国企发生债务违约后,地方政府的支持行为及其对信贷资源配置效率的影响。研究结论表明:第一,地方国企发生债务违约后,地方政府会提供更多的"支持",且支持额度与债务违约额呈显著正相关关系;第二,债务违约前,承担了更多社会责任(环保投资、捐赠以及就业等)的地方国企,在债务违约后可相应地获得更多的地方政府支持;第三,违约企业,尤其是得到更多政府支持的违约企业可获得更多的信贷资源,而其经营业绩却往往更差。由此表明政府干预一定程度上降低了信贷资源配置效率。 相似文献

中国经济进入“新常态”,产能过剩和环境污染问题日益突出,国际投资环境不容乐观,“供给侧结构性改革”为中国经济“新常态”下的必要举措。本文探索环境规制下我国FDI变化的影响因素,通过FDI的子向量距离函数定义“环境规制生产技术”和“非环境规制生产技术”,以此构造环境规制的成本效应,测度中国30个省份1999-2015年的环境规制成本,并在此基础上对实际FDI的变化进行分解。本文的主要结论有:2001年后,中国各省份的环境规制成本呈现整体上升趋势,东部地区的环境规制效果最为明显;环境规制下,中国各省份的实际FDI增速先加快后减缓,2015年之前,第二产业对FDI的吸引力最强,2014年开始,第三产业对FDI的吸引显著增强,“供给侧结构性改革”初显成效,促进了我国的产业结构优化升级。反事实检验显示导致各个时期FDI变化的影响因素不尽相同,但随着改革开放的力度不断加大,全要素生产率和产业结构对FDI分布的影响显著增强。 相似文献

Are public firm investment rates more sensitive than private firm rates to new investment opportunities? We offer a new explanation for differences in public and private firm investment sensitivities: investment sensitivities differ because the type of investments favored by firms varies with their listing status. Specifically, we consider the geography of investment opportunities and find that private firms have a much stronger investment home-bias than similar public firms which makes their investment decisions more sensitive to local investment opportunities than public firms. Controlling for local investment opportunities explains four-fifths of the differential sensitivity between public and private firms not explained by more traditional measures of investment opportunities. 相似文献
